Meet The Owner, Robert Klein

After dedicating nearly two decades to honing his skill, Robert Klein felt the time had finally come to take the reins. His expectations were high as he set out to make sure customers received excellent service and sales while also cultivating new relationships and sourcing materials.

Having worked for HRS since its debut, Robert bought the company in 2018. His passion for flooring has driven him since day one, propelling him forward each day in pursuit of his dream.

Robert “Big Bobby” Klein Sr.

Owner-Operator

After 25 years on the floor, Robert joined the team at HRS as the installation manager, running and managing the installation side of the business. After 10 years in that role, he took over as sole owner of HRS in 2018. He brings to the company decades of flooring knowledge, strong customer relations, and an outstanding industry reputation. In his free time “Big Bobby” enjoys spending his free time with his wife, kids and grandkids, as well as playing golf and cheering on the Ravens.

Bobby “Little Bobby” Klein Jr.

Director of Operations

Having grown up on carpet and flooring jobs Bobby has become an expert on flooring products, installation procedure and quality assurance. After 10+ years on the floor Bobby now oversees most of HRS’ daily operations. From routing our crews, maintaining product stock, to developing client relationships, Bobby has his hands in it all. If you have a problem, Bobby has a solution. In his free time Bobby enjoys spending time with his wife and family, playing video games, golfing and watching sports.

Michael Boyd - HRS

Salesman – Carpet/Flooring Expert

Michael has been in sales and management for 45 years. He attended Purdue University where he studied business management, accounting, and computer science. Michael has been with HRS Flooring for almost 11 years. His hard work and tenacity have helped him to be very successful. His favorite part of his position is the opportunity to meet new people, develop relationships, and serve them to the best of his abilities. His fairness, honesty, and communication skills are the key to building his ample long-term clients in his portfolio. In his spare time, he enjoys working in youth and children’s ministry. He loves the outdoors, especially the beach, and riding his motorcycle.

Salesman – Carpet/Flooring Expert

Mark joined HRS Flooring in 2016 bringing over 30 years if flooring experience overseeing installation in all types of flooring in residential, commercial and multi-family housing. Mark enjoys not only establishing business relationships but also personal relationships as well. Mark prides himself on his strong communication skills and ability to solve any of your flooring needs. In Mark’s spare time, aside from spoiling my granddaughter, he enjoy hanging with the floofs (his pups), relaxing by the pool in the summer, and chillin’ by the firepit in the fall. If you can’t find mark at work or he’s probably on the golf course or enjoying a cold tasty craft beer.

Residential Marketing and Sales

After 4 years working on the floor, Shawn brings his knowledge of carpet and flooring installation to your doorstep! As our residential salesman, Shawn’s focus is to provide homeowners with guidance to ensure a smooth installation and a beautiful, finished product. In Shawn’s free time he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, playing golf and baseball, as well as traveling.

Shannon brings 15+ years of customer service to the team at HRS Flooring to serve as our “Client Liaison”. If you are looking to make an appointment for an estimate, or to schedule work at your property Shannon is your go to contact. When not working, Shannon enjoys spending time with her girls, hiking, and reading.

Back in 2014, I had carpeting installed throughout my entire house that I had just purchased. (2300+sq. ft, not including the basement) This installation was filled with problems that are too many to list. The business manager at the time was rude, failed to rectify the problems, and blew me off. Even the salesman refused to respond to phone calls, text messages, etc. In the end, I was left with an incomplete job, missing carpet, and a $50 gift card for my troubles.Years later, the owner, Avi Gunzburg, finally learned of the horrible installation and customer service that I dealt with. He seemed very concerned about how my situation was handled and was not happy that his business's reputation was being tainted by (ex)employees that did not meet his standards of customer service.Mr. Gunzburg personally saw to my issue being properly handled, and in collaboration with his sales manager, Andy Hixon, had brand new carpet& padding installed in two rooms of my house at absolutely no cost. I was blown away! This second install was perfect - from beginning to end. The installers were extremely polite and professional and just plain did a phenomenal job.I am remorse that I did not reach out to Mr. Gunzburg earlier because I have no doubt that he would have handled the situation in the same manner and would have not considered my job complete until I was 100% satisfied. I can not believe that despite the fact that it is now years later, Mr. Gunzburg reached out to me on his own and did everything to make it right.
